Job Title: Analysis Engineer
Job Description
This role focuses on building and analyzing automotive assemblies and system models, with a strong emphasis on NVH, finite element modeling, and modal analysis using industry-standard tools. The analysis engineer contributes directly to the development of automotive components by creating accurate 2D and 3D models, setting up connections, and ensuring models are robust, debugged, and production-ready.
Responsibilities
Build complete automotive assemblies such as trim body and powertrain using appropriate modeling tools and standards.
Develop detailed 2D and 3D models of automotive components and systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency with design requirements.
Create and manage connections within models to accurately represent real-world assembly behavior.
Build system-level models for areas such as BIW, closures, instrument panel and console, seating, engine, exhaust, driveline, and transmission.
Perform modal analysis using Nastran and Optistruct, including solution types such as Sol103 and Sol111, to evaluate dynamic behavior.
Debug finite element models to identify and resolve issues, ensuring models are stable, accurate, and runnable.
Generate runnable models that meet project requirements and can be used reliably for further analysis and validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret analysis results and support design improvements.
Document analysis procedures, assumptions, and results clearly and share findings with relevant stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders using strong verbal and written communication skills.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in building automotive assemblies, including trim body and powertrain.
Hands-on experience in 2D and 3D modeling for automotive applications.
Strong experience in creating and managing connections within finite element models.
Demonstrated experience in building system models for BIW, closures, instrument panel and console, seating, engine, exhaust, driveline, and transmission.
Proficiency in performing modal analysis using Nastran and Optistruct, including Sol103 and Sol111.
Ability to debug finite element models and generate stable, runnable models.
Good verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts and analysis results clearly.
Experience working within the automotive domain.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency with Hypermesh for pre-processing and model setup.
Experience with ANSA for advanced modeling and meshing tasks.
Working knowledge of NVH analysis principles and methodologies.
Familiarity with Nastran and Optistruct environments for structural and modal analysis.
prior experience in the automotive domain, supporting vehicle or component development.
Work Environment
The role operates in a professional engineering environment focused on automotive product development and virtual analysis. You will primarily work with CAE tools such as Hypermesh, ANSA, Nastran, and Optistruct to build and analyze detailed finite element models. The position involves close collaboration with other engineers and project teams, regular review of technical data, and structured documentation of analysis activities. Work is typically performed in an office or lab setting with standard business hours, using modern computer workstations and engineering software.
