Satellite AIT Ownership
Own and drive all AIT activities for the Drishti Gen-2 satellite — mechanical assembly, electrical integration, harnessing, and functional/performance testing.
Develop and maintain AIT plans, schedules, procedures, and test flow for satellite-level integration, in coordination with systems engineering.
Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and non-conformance resolution during integration and test.
Ensure test readiness reviews, test result reviews, and sign-offs are completed per program milestones.
Scaling to Constellation Build
Transition AIT processes from a single-satellite, prototype-style build to a repeatable, higher-cadence constellation build process.
Define and implement standardized work instructions, travelers/routers, and quality checkpoints suited to serial production.
Identify and drive improvements in tooling, jigs/fixtures, and test consoles to reduce AIT cycle time per satellite as volume increases.
Team & Floor Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AIT technicians on the shop floor — planning daily/weekly work, ensuring safety, and maintaining build discipline.
Train technicians on assembly, integration, and test procedures, and build bench strength as the team grows with constellation ramp-up.
Cross-functional Coordination
Partner with the Operations Manager to align AIT schedules with the overall production plan.
Work with the Inventory Manager to ensure parts, sub-systems, and consumables are available and traceable for each build (kitting, GRN/issue tracking, shortage escalation).
Align with the Ground Floor Manager on facility, cleanroom, EGSE/GSE, and safety requirements against the AIT schedule.
Coordinate with Tech Heads, Project Managers, systems engineering, system leads, quality, and payload/sensor teams to resolve interface and requirement issues surfaced during integration.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain AIT documentation — test procedures, test reports, non-conformance reports, and traveler/router records — per applicable quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001; ECSS-Q-ST or equivalent space-quality framework, as adopted internally).
Support configuration control and traceability of build records for each flight unit

Requirements

Must-have
8+ years of hands-on experience in satellite/spacecraft (or closely related aerospace/defense electro-optical systems) Assembly, Integration & Testing.
Demonstrated experience owning AIT for a satellite or major sub-system through to qualification/flight readiness — not just component-level test.
Experience with environmental qualification testing (vibration, thermal/thermal-vacuum, EMI/EMC).
Prior experience leading a technician team on the floor, including planning, training, and mentoring.
Experience working within a documented quality system (ISO 9001, ECSS, DO-254-equivalent, or similar), and comfort maintaining traceable build/test records.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment and help build repeatable processes as the program scales from one satellite to a constellation.
Nice to have
Prior exposure to serial/repeat production rather than one-off builds, given the constellation scale-up ahead.
Direct satellite AIT experience (as opposed to only ground/defense electro-optics).
Experience setting up or improving AIT floor processes from scratch — facilities, tooling, work instructions — for a scaling program.
