MAU is hiring an AI & Emerging Technology Researcher for our client in Greenville, SC.
As an AI & Emerging Technology Researcher, you will accelerate IT innovation initiatives by analyzing data, developing machine learning solutions, and building prototypes to address business challenges. This is a long-term renewable contract opportunity.

Shift Information
Hybrid role
Must be onsite at least 2 days per week (subject to change)

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, science, mathematics/statistics, or related field OR four (4) years of related experience
5+ years of experience working in IT/software engineering with machine learning development

Preferred Education and Experience
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in computer science, mathematics/statistics, or related field
Process/project management experience or training/certifications

General Requirements
5+ years of knowledge in one or more programming languages: Python, C++, C#
5+ years of problem-solving experience with emphasis on IT product development
3+ years of knowledge of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
3+ years of knowledge of software engineering and architecture
Ability to assess data sources and data gathering techniques for accuracy and effectiveness
Strong communication skills to convey technical information to varying levels of stakeholders
Ability to collaborate across internal and external teams

Essential Functions
Analyze business-critical data and processes to recommend improvements and highlight opportunities
Work with complex data, optimization, and design problems while conducting advanced analytics tasks
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions
Partner with internal and external teams to identify innovation opportunities and transition them into prototype and industrialization phases
Develop custom data models and algorithms
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions
Serve as an internal consultant to developers and engineers across all phases of the product lifecycle
Advise developers and engineers on emerging IT technologies and assist with development and support processes
Provide on-the-job training and development support for associates and contractors
Maintain accurate and updated technical and non-technical documentation
Communicate requirements, progress, goals, and results to business partners with varying technical expertise
Perform other duties as assigned by Client Operations Supervisor
