Job Description
We are seeking a skilled 3D Modelling Specialist with expertise in automotive interior plastic trim design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drawing, detailing, and integration of components, as well as knowledge in GD&T and tolerance stack-up. This role requires an understanding of component material selection and a proficiency in various design and analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
Design and develop automotive interior plastic trim components.
Create detailed drawings and component integration plans.
Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up principles to ensure precision in design.
Select appropriate materials for component design.
Conduct Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to identify potential issues.
Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
Understand and apply tooling processes for plastic and sheet metal components.
Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in automotive interior plastic trim design.
Expertise in GD&T and tolerance stack-up.
Strong drawing and detailing skills.
Experience in component integration.
Knowledge of component material selection.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
Understanding of tooling processes for plastic and sheet metal.
Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
